Renate Schweiger’s films are put into interplay with current videos created during a meeting with her. The film material documents her terrace, how it looked at the time, and is supplemented by video footage showing the picture today. In the background, one hears an interview, in which an attempt is made to find out how the creation of the films came about. As suggested by the title, one learns many things about Renate’s life and her attitude towards it, an attitude that is relevant for amateurs today, just as at that time.
