The film is narrated from the point of view of a character suffering from the condition of photo-phobia, a type of hypersensitivity to light. The narrator experiences the condition as anxiety provoked by visual stimulation, described as a fear of images. Throughout the gradually evolving narration, the film addresses questions of fiction, representation and the complexities of a reality permeated by visual information.
