At EMAF, we present documentation of a proposition for a citizen-driven memorial for Afghans, or rather for how our Western border regime and war policies have treated the people born within the borders of Afghanistan. The national flower of this country is the tulip, an item we have come to see as familiar, blooming every spring in our gardens. This is the symbol we use as a brick for our monument, spreading red tulips across Germany. Join us in performing this memorial into existence.
