Known by all and nevertheless a mystery: wiras. The flightless three-winged creature can be found in many places in the landscape of Saxony-Anhalt. As a result of their huge size, they can already be seen from faraway, and swarms of them can be observed particularly along express roads and motorways. But hardly anyone has so far ventured a closer look at the habitat of these fascinating giants.
