FIGURE 1.2

The depth experienced in simple patterns and the shapes that almost seem to move, thus creating figures themselves which keep dissolving and reassembling, allow the painting itself to be an active part of the process. If the viewer allow themselves to be absorbed into the moving shapes, which should be static, they will find themselves in a dimension which can no longer be controlled. How is it possible that lined-up squares lead to loss of control when they are normally used to keep it?
