Waste Water Treatment Plant is a portrait of a plant that has been in operation in the Stuttgart metropolitan area since 1961. It runs twenty-four hours a day and seven days a week and has never been shut down entirely. The final clarifying scraper slowly does its rounds in the circular tank for secondary clarification. A blower drones in the background. Oxygen is necessary for aerobic processes. Disruptions are recorded and archived. Bacteria are at work, and stirrers stir. The clarified water is diverted into the river.
